Ashleigh is a qualified riding instructor, both with the British Horse Society and South African National Equestrian Federation. Horses have been a full time career and way of life for over twenty years. This has included freelance teaching; permanent and locum riding school teaching; own riding school / livery yard / rescue yard; backing and schooling; "problem" horses; racing and stud work. Most recently it included almost two years riding for the South African Lipizzaners, the only Lipizzaner team recognized by the Spanish Riding School.

In the competition ring, Ashleigh has competed in Eventing (open), Show jumping (1.20 class), Dressage (EM), Showing, (National open) and Equitation. Highlights included 2 x 3rd in the Pug Whitehead International 3 day event, Eastern Cape of South Africa Novice Kur Champion, Zimbabwe Horse of the Year Showing Champion, and Eastern Cape of South Africa Power Jump. Pupils have competed and won in all 5 disciplines in both children's and juniors.

Currently Ashleigh is taking time out to travel the world, working on and off with horses to gain new insights. Everyone has something new to offer in their training methods and different approaches so often work wonders with different horses. Ashleigh is also studying Reiki and Aromatherapy.
